For example, you find that the world's oil production in 2004 was
80,260 thousand barrels daily and you want to know what that was in gigabarrels
per year. Enter 80260 in the "Value" box and click the "Barrels/Day"
button (the original value). The value that appears in the "Barrels per
Year" field is 29,294,900 (actually 29,294,900,000 because the value
we put in omitted the thousand). This value divided by 1,000 million
gives us 29.3 gigabarrels.
